+ The date of my new door installation has been confirmed:  October 18 and I.CAN'T.WAIT.  On that same weekend, we'll be painting the garage doors the same color (black) and sealing our driveway before the winter arrives.

+ Yesterday was the second time this month that I was messaged about coming back to work again. The convo:

work:  on a scale of 1-10, what's your appetite for coming back in November to work on Project X?
me:  -100
work:  haha! ... are you serious?
me:  yes.  I'll be honest with you - I am not ready to wear pants and a bra just yet.
work:  lol, ok.  We'll talk in the new year.

+ I leave my gym bag (with all my workout gear) at the muay thai studio because I'm there so much so it's just easier.  When I went to grab a pair of shorts, an earwig was in my bag!  After screaming and dropping it on the floor  I zipped it up, brought it home and made my husband take everything out, shake it and turned the bag inside out to be sure that it's earwig-free.  I stood by with the vacuum running incase anything fell out and tried to run.

+ My husband came home from Costco yesterday, hands me this and says "I got this for you because you like to eat chocolate before your period".  Straight to the point and 100% true.  Bug hunter and chocolate bringer?  Yeah, I think I'll keep him around for a while longer.

+ Kayla in her new cycling jersey.  She goes with my husband to some cycling thing on Wednesday nights so he got her a jersey.  This angle of the pic makes her look like a bobblehead.  I swear, she's normal-sized!

+ Funnies:
These "dad bod" fanny packs are disgusting yet genius.

Looking forward to a great weekend -- it's going to be a fantastic summery weekend with temps around 29-30C, tomorrow is our (belated) anniversary dinner and a great bbq at the inlaws on Sunday.

Have a great weekend!

  2. The Limewire meme is SO true.
Kayla's jersey is so stylish! She looks awesome!
In regards to that glass-less gif... that person DESERVED that. Push doors open by their glass is NOT the right way. As someone who's had to clean the windows in stores and restaurants, he totally deserved that. Ha.

  4. That's why they tell you not to lean against the doors! What a nice husband you have, John does the same with the chocolate but that might be more self preservation than love... but I'll take it!

  7. Hahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahah computer aids. Chris and I were just talking about Kazaa and Limewire last weekend. I had to laugh at the earwig situation. In our house, that would be freaking me going through it. I did not marry a bug killer, I should have thought harder about that.

  8. Your husband is definitely a keeper . . . mostly for the organic chocolate! I'm the bug killer around here . . . unless the dogs get it first! Love that you can say eff it to work until the new year . . . and that you are holding firm! And Kayle is so adorable . . . love that she's biking with her dad! Hope you are well! Happy weekending!
