How is it September already.   Kayla starts school next week Tuesday and going into grade 4.  LIFE, YOU NEED TO SLOW YOUR ROLL.  It's been chilly this past week so I guess fall has made it's way here for good.

+ 2nd week of shoulder acupuncture rehab is going extremely well.  Just after the 2nd session, my shoulder feels so much better; mobility has increased to about 60% and pain decreased from an 8 to about a 5.  The downside is that I have to walk around looking like I got my ass kicked due to the cupping marks/bruises.

+ From one of my husband's bike shop. OUR WHOLE MARRIAGE HAS BEEN A LIE.

ps - this is a joke they posted to make customers laugh.

+ I love Kayla's new space; it's so 'grown-up' as she puts it.  It's still a work in progress but it's coming along nicely and the best part?  I only spent $12 - pegboard ($9) and wire hanging rack ($3). The rest of the items I already had lying around.  We still need a chair, an actual lamp and other things to fill the pegboard.

+ I love the dollar store...where else can you get wire baskets for $3?  I just broke off the handles and used hooks to mount them.

+ Speaking of DIY things, I'm currently obsessed with command hook hacks, pallet hacks and stamps for my planner.
I used command hooks to organize my cords and get them off the floor.

I have mini stamps for my planner and needed a place to store them...so I bought a $1 pine box and am currently painting/decorating it.  FYI, those alphabet stamps are $2 for the set at Michaels.

+ Kayla got this "birthday invitation" last week (party already passed).  It's literally a card that's been cut in half with this written on it. Seems legit.  (She didn't go, obviously).

+ I absolutely LOVE it that Kayla's love of reading grows each day.  She rushed home the other day from camp so she could finish her book.

+ Finished this book ... it was well-written/was a good read but the subject matter made me a bit uncomfortable.

+ TRUTH.

  10. I'm with you on that book. I struggled to say that I really liked it because it just creeped me out the whole time. Also, that sign about receipts made me laugh - my husband always tells me that his "gear" is on sale, but I'm aware of his games.
